From the Sidelines: College Football Week 1

College Football is officially kicking off tomorrow and some great games are set to be battled out on the gridiron. Here is a quick guide to tomorrow's games.

Game of the week: Michigan @ Notre Dame, 6:30 pm ct, NBC

What's better than a Saturday night matchup between two rivals to open the season? Notre Dame has more stability on offense returning 5 starters and their quarterback, but Michigan still has one of the most talented wide receivers in the country with Donovan Peoples-Jones. Jim Harbaugh also has a defense stacked with a skilled athletes like Defensive Ends Rashan Gary and Chase Winovich. Notre Dame is definitely looking to get a fast start to 2018 after winning a bowl for the first time since 2014. At home, the Irish can be dangerous, but new transfer QB Shea Pattterson will lead Michigan to an important non-conference win.

Who we're least confident in: Ole Miss @ Texas Tech, 11:00 am ct, ESPN

Both coaches, Kliff Kingsbury of Tech and Matt Luke of Ole Miss, are on the hot seat coming into 2018. The game is played in Lubbock which gives the Red Raiders an advantage, but struggles at the quarterback position could let the Rebels sneak in for the road victory.

Who we're most confident in: West Virginia v.s Tennessee, 2:30 pm ct, CBS *

Will Grier commands the Mountaineers offense with poise and solid play, which is why he is a Heisman trophy contender in 2018. Along with David Sills, who was Grier's primary target in 2017, the Mountaineers should run away with this one early. Tennessee returns just 4 starters on offense and 6 on defense which will make it tough for the Volunteers to contend with West Virginia even if it's at a neutral location.

*- Played in Charlotte, NC
