Buccaneers defeat the defending super bowl champs at home

Behind a phenomenal game by quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stunned Nick Foles and the Eagles by getting a 27-21 win on their way to a 2-0 start to the season. Fitzpatrick had 402 total yards to go along with 4 TDs. Another Buccaneer who continued a great start to 2018 was wide receiver DeSean Jackson who caught 4 passes for a whopping 32.2 average yards per catch. The day wasn't all bad for Philadelphia, either. Running backs Jay Ajayi and Corey Clement both dot in the end zone, while Tight End Zach Ertz led the Eagles in receiving with 11 receptions. After the Eagles scored on 4th down to make it 21-27 with 2:46 left in the 4th quarter, Tampa Bay showed exemplary clock management, controlling the game and giving the Eagles hardly any chance to score again.

"We've developed a lot of confidence in the offseason," Fitzpatrick said following the game. "With how we worked and the way things were going, I think that confidence has carried over to the season."

Right now, the biggest question surrounding Tampa Bay is the QB situation. When Jameis Winston returns, will he automatically resume his role as the starting QB, or will Fitzpatrick be given a shot considering his solid play in this season's first two games?

Next Monday, the Buccaneers take on the Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers, while the Eagles prepare for a battle in Indianapolis against the Colts.
